The engraving

The motif is made of dots.

A laser places them one by one inside the glass. Without light, they are barely visible.

The light

Light from the side.

The LEDs sit in the frame and shine into the edge of the glass. The light travels through the glass.

The result

Every dot glows.

Every dot catches the light and casts it into the room. The motif itself becomes the light source.
